he World Gold Council (WGC) is set to introduce a new trend in the global gold market by launching a pilot program for digital gold. This initiative aims to make gold trading more secure, transparent, and faster using blockchain technology.
According to a WGC spokesperson, digital gold will allow investors to verify ownership while simplifying trading processes. Investors will be able to own gold in smaller quantities and conduct transactions quickly in the international market.
The pilot project will record gold transactions on a blockchain system, ensuring transparency and reducing the risk of fraud.
Analysts believe that the adoption of digital gold will not only benefit investors but also enhance liquidity and trading activities in the global gold market. Over time, this technology could create a new class of digital assets within financial markets.
