angladesh has achieved a major milestone in its digital transformation journey through the e-Government project. With increased automation, the use of advanced technology, and the expansion of online platforms, the quality and speed of public services have improved significantly.
According to government sources, in the latest phase, services from more than 50 ministries and agencies are now available on an integrated e-Government platform. Citizens can apply online, submit forms, pay fees, and track applications directly from home. This has reduced both time and cost while enhancing transparency and accountability.
Technology experts say this initiative not only improves citizen convenience but also helps prevent corruption, accelerates government operations, and facilitates overall economic activities. Plans are underway to integrate artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and advanced cybersecurity features into the platform in the coming years.
Economists believe this milestone is a major step toward establishing smart governance in Bangladesh, positioning the country ahead in global competitiveness in the long run.
